What this program sends
Masonic Youth Groups (MYG) operates a single text messaging program, used only to deliver one-time verification codes — also called two-factor authentication (2FA) or one-time passcodes (OTP) — to people using the MYG mobile app.
We never send marketing or promotional text messages. No advertising, newsletters, event promotion, or fundraising is ever sent on this program.
How you opt in
Opt-in happens inside the MYG mobile app, on the Create account screen. The phone number field is optional. When you enter a complete 10-digit US mobile number, a consent checkbox appears directly beneath it. It is unchecked by default — you must check it yourself. Its label reads:
I agree to receive one-time verification codes by text message from Masonic Youth Groups (MYG) at this number. Message frequency depends on your sign-in activity. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Consent is not a condition of using MYG. The Create account button is never blocked on the checkbox, and an account created with it unchecked is never sent a verification text.

Program name: Masonic Youth Groups (MYG) account verification codes
Message type: Transactional one-time verification codes (2FA / OTP) only
Message frequency: One message each time you request a verification code. Frequency depends entirely on your own sign-in activity; recurring messages are not sent.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply. MYG does not charge for these messages.
Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message from us and you will be unsubscribed immediately. These keywords all work:
- STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, REVOKE
You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. To start receiving codes again, reply START.
You can also remove your phone number from your MYG account, or create and use an account without a phone number at all.
Your privacy
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent/opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to deliver the verification codes you request and to secure your account.
